At Lydden Surgery we support the development of our Practice Team and are enthusiastic about supporting people who wish to work in the NHS by providing a safe and supportive training environment.

We are excited to be welcoming GP Registrars from July 2020. GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors with a minimum of four years post qualification experience. These doctors are supervised by an approved GP Trainer. GP Registrars are in the final stages of their professional training with a view to becoming a General Practitioner in the UK.

Lydden Surgery is currently approved to provide a training placement for Foundation Year 2 Doctors (FY2). Foundation Year 2 Doctors are qualified Doctors who have completed one year in a hospital placement; they are registered with the GMC and spend the second year consolidating generic skills as a doctor. FY2 doctors undertake three 4 month rotations, one of which may be general practice.
