To maintain good clinical safety, we request that all electronic requests for clinical assistance are submitted to the surgery via econsult which can be accessed via the below link.
We are no longer accepting requests for clinical assistance via email. Alternatively you may continue to ring the surgery on 01304 832160 and select option 1 for the reception, who will advise you accordingly.Any emails asking for clinical assistance will not be actioned.
Across Kent the NHS and its partners are working extremely hard to roll out the COVID-19 booster vaccination programme to our communities.
All adults are eligible from Monday 13 December, and you will be able to book via the National Booking System from Wednesday 15 December.
You can book your booster for 3 months from the date of second vaccine, and you can access the National Booking System to book the appointment from 2 months.
We are working at pace to increase the availability of appointments so that there are plenty of options for people on the National Booking System. Some local vaccination services may also contact patients directly.
New appointments are being added every day across our vaccination services. Further availability will come online from Wednesday 15 December.
We will be working with all of our sites to take further steps to increase what they can offer again, including opening later and on more days.
All of these appointments will be added to the National Booking System and so we encourage everyone who is aged 18 and over, who is yet to have their booster and who is approaching 3 months from your second vaccine to use the National Booking System to arrange your appointment when you are able to do so.
In terms of any planned appointments with Lydden Surgery, there are no changes at the current time and everyone should attend your planned appointments as normal. If we need to make any changes, we will contact you directly.
We are conscious that some patients registered at Lydden Surgery may be affected by current events in Afghanistan. Lydden Surgery is accredited by the Royal College of General Practitioners as one which specialises in the care of military veterans and their families. All of the team have been trained in the care of military veterans and their families. If recent events have affected you and you wish to seek help, please come forward.
From 17 May 2021, people in England who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can demonstrate their vaccination status for international travel. A full course is currently two doses of any approved vaccine. Vaccine status will be available from:
It may take more than a week for your identity to be checked and verified so you can use these services.
If you cannot access these online services, and you have had 2 vaccines, you can request a paper letter from the NHS by calling 119. Only call 119 if you had your second dose more than 5 working days ago. It may take 7 working days for the letter to arrive.
This practice is not able to provide you with a letter that shows your COVID-19 vaccination status.
When you’re planning your travel, check the latest information on demonstrating your COVID-19 status when travelling abroad on the gov.uk website. Make sure there is time to get proof of your vaccination status before you leave.

In the event of a medical emergency, which is not a 999 emergency, when the practice is closed, patients should telephone 111 and they will be put through to the national helpline. Please do not use this service to try to obtain results or query opening times as the 111 service will not be able to assist you.
